A great MFWF day out at Werribee Park. ‘Heritage & Heirlooms on a plate’.

Whether you grow your own food, or simply appreciate the unique tastes of fruit and vegetables plucked straight from the tree or earth, celebrate these tastes as we take you on a culinary journey to the Werribee Park Community Gardens and Heritage Orchard.

Enjoy a three-course menu designed around fresh produce matched with local boutique wines in the historic surrounds of the newly restored The Refectory.

Step back in time as we stroll to the community garden and learn about the orchard, first planted in the 1980s, to enjoy roving desserts featuring hero produce grown and picked for optimum flavour.
Learn from Craig Castree, horticulturalist, presenter and author of Edible Gardens, as he shares his passion and insights into the orchard and gardens’ history. Craig loves talking to share his knowledge about the Werribee Park Heritage Orchard and ‘Edible Gardens’ and will have his latest signed copies of his book available for purchase on the day.

“There is nothing better than eating fruit and vegetables fresh from your own backyard” says Craig.

Your culinary adventure…
